Pretty hostile thread here. I don't think anyone intended to insult MM or the board with their comments...just sharing their opinions.
Mounted is not a new, small operation. They are established and have been around for a good amount of time. While this lineup may (and likely will) expand, the current list does not come close to matching the shows they put on in Chicago. With the exception of Erving, where are the splashy names? Riggins is solid, but the other guys listed have been seen recently multiple times on the show circuit.
That said...the free 'Skins are a nice add. Free admission is great, as is the reduced pricing and hosting a niche group like wrestlers.
I will agree with Army that we all started in this hobby with nothing. Getting a common guy like Pete Rose may not mean much to you and I, but there are collectors out there who are looking forward to meeting him and getting stuff signed. For this reason alone, I don't have problems with the retreads...was just hoping to see a few more "new" names as well.
If this show was meant to challenge CSA/Gamebreaker/Denver and their hold on the Mid-Atlantic market, I would say they still have work to do. Competition is good for the market (and prices), so here's to hoping they strengthen things with both this and future shows.

You make some GREAT points there. Most specifically the comments about competition and Mounted Memories' stature.
If my comments were taken to be hostile - then my sincerest apologies. We should be amongest friends here, in a hobby we enjoy. That is the furtherest from my intent.
My comments were made to genuinely see who would be the big name for them to add. Who is the "1" guy that could satisfy the majority of collectors? The National will be recently wrapped up, along with the HOF festivities. Baseball playoff push is in full effect, and I previously mentioned other things that could prevent other signers from attending.
I don't do basketball, but it seems that Rodman would be a splashy name for collectors. I don't recall him doing a bunch of signings, but again, I am not a basketball collector.
I will throw a big name out there that would be awesome to see - ARNOLD PALMER!
I guess my expectations are lower because I am excited to have a show that I don't have to drive more than 20 minutes to!
